CHORI (Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute) is a non-profit medical research institution that relies on private donations and government funding. This annual report highlights the positive impacts of people's contributions and relates to individuals on a personal level by telling the story of Michael, a boy with diabetes. His story demonstrates the application of clinical research and how it improves the quality of life. The elements of color, scientific diagrams, and the translucent plastic book jacket reflect the character of the lab environment.
