Josh Loeb & Zoe Nathan of Rustic Canyon Family of Restaurants (Rustic Canyon, Cassia, Milo & Olive, Sweet Rose and Huckleberry) approached me to work on their latest restaurant project, Tallula's, an ingredient-driven, neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Acclaimed interior designer Lori Backen approached us to work on the restaurant branding and design for French Blue, Napa Valley. The menu was inspired by the fresh and organic produce from Rudd Farms Gardens nearby.

Chef Arnold Eric Wong approached me to create the branding for his latest project: The Beehive – a 60's inspired bar and eatery located in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District.

Craft cocktails and tasty bar bites are heralded by Chef Arnold Wong (Bacar, Eos) and Chef Phil West (Range), both co-owners of The Treasury.

The fun mod graphics were created to reflect the mid-century interiors and general attitude from that era.

Website redesign for the very popular artisan bakery and café located in Santa Monica.

We kept the look and feel of the Huckleberry branding (including the yellow polka dots!) and gave it a fresher and updated look with the new website. We were fortunate to be able to use the beautiful photography shot by Matt Armendariz for the Huckleberry cookbook.

The site was programmed in Wordpress so that the team could make menu changes easily and immediately if needed.

The Coffee Company, established in 1978, is a family-run New American Diner, located by LAX, serving locals, tourists and loyal patrons. It’s menu is primarily breakfast and lunch staples with some dishes of modern Cajun and Middle Eastern influences.

Baraneh approached me to help update the look of the restaurant with a new logo and visual identity. The objective was to create a look that felt “established” while being friendly and casual. The illustration of the restaurant appearing on the menu covers and t-shirts give it a warm friendly neighborhood feel.

Olivina came to us to design packaging for a line of Sea Salt soaps with fragrances and ingredients from different countries. I chose to use vintage images of each fragrance in the background covered with handwriting and a stamp to emphasize the idea of a travel postcard for far away places.

Rustic Canyon Wine Bar & Seasonal Kitchen grew from a series of dinners that founder Josh Loeb held inside his family’s beautiful tree house of a home nestled in Rustic Canyon, an intimate neighborhood carved into the mountains of Santa Monica.

The restaurant is an extension of this, where friends near and far can come together and celebrate the best things in life: great food, great wine, and great people.

Rustic Canyon offers a regularly changing menu of Farmers’ Market-inspired dishes with ingredients that come from local farmers, ranchers, and fishermen who practice sustainable agriculture.

The site was created to be mobile-friendly and easy for the management to make daily menu changes on their own in the back-end of the site.

Nolaluna is a world-class entertainment and dining venue featuring a renowned international ensemble of circus artists, singers, musicians, variety acts and comedians, located in the South Market District of New Orleans. The late Philippe Halsman is a legendary American photographer who has photographed hundreds of LIFE magazine covers, famous portraits of notable figures and experiments with the artist Salvador Dali. Phillipe’s family came to us to help them create an online portfolio to display his work. Yellow was the color of one of his walls in his studio, so we embraced his signature color in the design. The goal was to make the website feel modern, while also throwing back to the 1950's era that was the height of his success.

The objective was to create a fun and cheerful logo with a nostalgic nod to baking.

The website is a scrolling page with beautiful photography to showcase their delicious baked goods. The handwritten type treatment gives a hand-crafted feeling.

This is a project created in art school and is still one of my favorite packaging projects.

The assignment was to bring an established brand from the fashion industry and create a beverage and snack packaging for it. I chose the Levis brand, and had to ask myself, what would the classic American jean brand's food and beverage product be? What would it look like?

The answer was classic potato chips and cola, of course! I then implemented elements of Levis to the packaging. For the bottle, I chose a brown glass which had a unique yet classic shape and painted the bottle caps "copper" for regular cola, and "red" for cherry flavored cola. The soda can was also painted "copper" with a label wraped around it.

For the classic potato chips, I created the window shape the same shape as the Levis logo and stitched the bag along the top.

The result was classic, modern and appetizing.

When Kim O'Neill of Good Stock approached us to help with the design and packaging of her family heirloom products, we couldn't have been more delighted. Kim started Good Stock in honor of her grandfather who loved telling his grandchildren they came from good stock.
